In 1984 a group of professionals dedicated to the world of wine and to defending their common interests decided to set up the Associació Catalana d'Enòlegs (ACE - Catalan Enologists Association). The ACE currently has almost 400 members with training in a range of areas but all of whom specialize in Enology.
The primary aims of the association are to obtain legal recognition and legal protection for the work done by oenologists and to promote any other action that would help them to improve the way they function as a profession.

The International Viticulture and Enology Society (IVES) is an academic association dedicated to viticulture and enology. Founded in 2017 by a group of leading universities and research institutes, it seeks to ensure that the results of scientific research in this field are available to researchers and professionals. It is a non-profit organization administered by its institutional members, who believe that the results of scientific research should be made available to researchers in both the public and private sectors and to the general public. To make this possible, they publish journals on free online platforms that are independent of private publishers. We have 23 major actors from many wne-producing countries.
The OENO One, vine and wine journal is open access and belongs to the International Viticulture and Enology Society (IVES).
It is a peer-reviewed research journal, among the best in the field, and has an exceptional council of highly respected editors who cover a range of areas in viticulture and oenology. The open access publication structure provides maximum visibility for published studies because readers do not have to subscribe to access articles. The authors retain the authors' rights and are free to publish accepted papers on personal or institutional websites or to disseminate them in any other manner immediately after they have been accepted.
The network was created in 2010 out of a desire to develop and extend the enological and viticultural ambit among academics, researcher centres and international industrial members. It is coordinated by the Université de Bordeaux - Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin (France), and is the first and only international network in enology and vitivulture.
Oenoviti International is dedicated to education and excellence in research. Its aim is to promote the exchange of knowledge about the world of wine. It promote synergy through
intense collaboration and as such this innovative approach is based on mobility and the exchange of multidisciplinary experiences. The network offers its members a high degree of international visibility and enables them to make the most of their opportunities regarding joint training/research projects.
